Kalin Veliov

Kalin Veliov was born in Sofia /Bulgaria, on 18th of June - 1973. At the age of 7, he starts his musical education at the National Children’s Palace in Sofia. Few years later, the young percussionist joins the popular children’s pop band Pim-Pam, which gives him the opportunity to tour Bulgaria and participate in many TV shows.

In 1988 Kalin is enrolled in the National School of Music “Lubomir Pipkov”. The same year, the young student becomes a member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra “Pioneer”. Kalin graduates from the National School of Music in 1992, but his education continues at the National Conservatory in Sofia, where he studies classical music for another five years.

In 1999 Kalin moves to Holland where he is accepted to study in the Rotterdam Conservatory –Latin Department. In July 2004, Kalin graduates from the Rotterdam Conservatory in Holland and in June 2006, Kalin & Nina Nikolina start their Latin Duet. The first single is called How Love Happens and riches the top of the charts where it stays for weeks.
